Dr. Michael Brechon, Jr. is proud to be back in his hometown working alongside his father in the town in which he grew up. Raised by devoted parents, he is the eldest of three children. Dr. Brechon attended grade school in Belvidere and graduated from Belvidere High School in 2002. He graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI in 2006 where he met his wife Lindsay Brechon. Dr. Brechon earned his Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL, as well as his Master of Science in Oral Biology from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University where he was the President of his dental class all four years. During his final year, Dr. Brechon was awarded the Dr. David A. Reinsch Humanitarian Scholarship Award for embodying the spirit of humanitarianism, believing in the equality and welfare of others demonstrated through community service, advocacy, and leadership. Dr. Brechon is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society. He is honored to be back in his hometown providing dental care in his community.
Dr. Michael Brechon Sr. has been a part of the Belvidere community most of his life. He completed his four-year pre-dental program at Southern Illinois University in just three years. He also attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago, Illinois where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In his free time, Dr. Brechon enjoys spending time with his family and an occasional game of golf. One of his proudest moments of his life is when he started working alongside his son at Brechon Dental. Dr. Brechon is a member of the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society. Dr. Brechon and his dedicated staff are prepared to help you with all your dental needs.
Dr. Eduardo Cortes took an early interest in dentistry and went on to graduate from a top dental school in 2005. From 2005-2007, he had a fellowship in oral maxillofacial surgery in a hospital setting. After practicing for a few years, Dr. Cortes received an advanced degree in dentistry from Nova Southeastern University near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, concentrating on research using CAD-CAM for comprehensive aesthetic dentistry. Following that, he took another advanced degree in the field of restorative dentistry.
Eduardo brings this wealth of educational background to join our Brechon Dental. He wants to bring a comprehensive health focused approach to our patient’s needs. We find him to have a warm outgoing personality and we feel that he will build trusting relationships with our patient family. We are very excited to have him here.
Dr Cortes likes to travel and spend time with his family. He also is very passionate about his work and to be able to help his patients making them happy.
