Sensitivity

In some cases, patients may experience increased sensitivity following the veneer placement. Increased sensitivity to hot and cold is especially common for the first few days following the procedure, but will typically go away.

Tooth Modification

In order to properly place the veneer, the dentist will need to modify the natural tooth. This will include shaving down enamel, which is permanent. Veneers will not last forever and will eventually require replacement. On average, veneers should last about 10 years.
